Barbara Monroe and her late husband Jack, began farming this property in the late 1940’s, raising wheat, mustard and barley. From 1990 through the early 2000’s, Jack farmed organic. He was a pioneer in land conservation, planting over 70,000 trees as windbreaks on the family farm.
